MHS STORIES/MEMORIES:
One night when they were building the Interstate and cutting down Taylor’s Hill some guys and I went up there in my jeep to climb the newly created rock walls with me were Donnie Huff and Jeff Hickey.  The police came up and inquired about our activities.  They didn’t believe us.  With their flashlight they searched the Jeep and surrounding areas.  Coming up empty they asked “Where are the Girls?”  Where’s your beer?”  We had neither.  With a perplexed countenance he asked “What’s wrong with you boys?  Don’t you know it’s Saturday night?”  That old Jeep served me well.  During summer two-a-day practices our junior year I regularly chauffeured 10 or more guys home on our side of Dickerson Road.  You’d find Jeff Woodcock, Coby Harper, Wally Carson, Ray Allen, Noel Walters, Ken Haas, Bobby Eaton, Bill Spitel, all piled on the seats, fender, hood and running boards…That was before seat belt laws.
